According to 9 News, a major multiple car accident along 1-25 caused lane closures as well as some serious injuries. The accident occurred on Saturday around 3:15pm in the southbound lanes of I-25 at Colfax Avenue. A vehicle lost control driving south on the highway and collided with a truck. Both drivers appeared to be alright but a child located in the vehicle was injured and rushed to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. Police are still investigating the scene and it is still unclear why the car lost control as weather did not seem to have played a role. This accident caused several delays and backed up traffic for miles while the accident was cleared.
